My Family Tree - Updated 20th March 2026

My daughter Lucy bought me a Ancestry kit for Christmas and I have been having fun filling in my Family Tree – the Kit also come with a DNA sample test that I have sent away to Ancestry.

I haven’t got the results yet but they should be back soon and it detects information on to estimate ethnicity percentages, identify genetic relatives, and map ancestral geographic origins – so that should be interesting.

My Grandad (Ernie) on my Mums side was born in Shoreditch, in 1906
My Mum (Doll) was born in London in 1928
My Dad (mo) was born in Shoreditch, London in 1929
My Sister (Carol) was Born in Plaistow, london
My Brother (Mike) was Born in 1960 in Shoreditch, London
I was Born in Houghton Regis, Bedfordshire in 1965
My Wife, Val was Born in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire in 1968
My Son Jono was born in 1993 in Sligo, Ireland
My Daughter was born in 1995 in Sligo Ireland

I got my DNA Test results from Ancestry and I am 49% Irish!
